U.S. citizens overseas: The UK government will be implementing mandatory COVID-19 testing for all inbound passengers to England, Scotland, and Wales from 4:00 a.m. GMT on January 18, 2021. If you are due to travel internationally to England, please visit their website for detailed information.

U.S. citizens in the UK: Please visit the UK government’s website for important information about international travel. This includes guidance for foreign nationals wishing to return home, and information about holiday (vacation) travel for foreign nationals living in the UK. The UK government’s website also provides important information about national lockdown restrictions and travel within the UK.

U.S. citizens residing in the United Kingdom are subject to the ‘Stay at Home’ regulations. You should not travel abroad unless it is permitted under the rules. This means you may not go on holiday.

Please consult directly with your airline and follow all UK government guidelines if you are making travel arrangements to return home to the United States. Please also make sure you are familiar with the latest COVID-19 testing requirements.
