As fee amounts and exchange rates change periodically, please check this webpage just before you obtain your payment method to make sure you have the correct fee amount at the time you apply.

IMPORTANT: Please submit the exact fee amount. There is no expedite fee for U.S. passport applications in the United Kingdom. Therefore please disregard any fee amounts or expedite fees stated on the application form you completed as that information is not relevant for applicants outside the United States.

If you submit a type of payment that cannot be accepted for your service, or if the amount is incorrect, your application will be delayed.

Please note:
A U.S. passport card can only be used to enter the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda at land border crossings or sea ports-of-entry. A passport card cannot be used for international travel by air.  A passport card may not be widely accepted as a form of identification outside the United States.

Fee: $30 or £23.

Method of application: By mail. (unless it is being submitted together with a passport service which requires an in-person appearance).

Important: If you are applying for a passport card for an adult at the same time as applying for a passport, you should pay the applicable fee for the passport service from the list on this website and $30 or £23 for the passport card.
