Interview appointments for the Federal Benefits Unit are limited. We will arrange appointments for individuals who require a mandatory in-person interview (e.g. first time SSN applicants over age 12) or for urgent inquiries only. Most Federal Benefits Unit inquiries can be handled by telephone or mail. By appointment, you can visit the Federal Benefits Unit Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:30am – and 1:00pm (except for U.S. and UK holidays).   The Federal Benefits Unit is closed for appointments on the last Thursday of every month for internal training purposes.

The Embassy is located in Nine Elms at  33 Nine Elms Lane, London, SW11 7US .

To obtain an appointment you must send us an email at informing us of the day that you wish to visit and we will place your name on our Security Visitor List if your request is granted.  PLEASE provide at least 48 hours notice.

You will be informed by email whether or not your request is approved.
