This week, the State Department’s new U.S. Study Abroad Office launched the Study Abroad Knowledge Network, studyabroad.state.gov, to connect individuals and institutions with resources that help diversify and increase Americans’ participation in study abroad programs. Only one in ten U.S. undergraduates study abroad before graduating, so more must be done to ensure U.S. students from all backgrounds gain the international skills they need to succeed in today’s global environment.
