The General Services Office (GSO) based at U.S. Embassy, London, plays an integral role in the success of Mission UK’s operations. GSO is comprised of Customs and Shipping, Mailroom, Procurement, Housing and Property Management, Motorpool and Travel Visits teams; each team strives to provide a first class level of service to the Embassy’s American Officers and their families from arrival through their departure from London.

Working in conjunction with six fellow Property Managers, you will provide leasing and make ready services for the Mission UK Housing Pool. With a keen eye for detail and effective organizational skills, as well as, superb customer service, you will be responsible for a portfolio of residential properties and identifying potential residential properties, negotiate and finalize lease documentation, organize and manage the make ready requirements, prepare and complete all required documentation, data input, and coordinate with landlords on the resolution to any maintenance requirements throughout the duration of the lease.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

EDUCATION:
Two ‘A’ levels or High School Diploma is required.

EXPERIENCE:
Progressively responsible work experience gained within a real estate/property management environment is required. 

LANGUAGE:
Level IV (fluent) in both written and spoken English is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Must have thorough knowledge of British Housing and Rent Acts and of legal procedures regarding residential and commercial leasing. Must have a thorough knowledge of the current London real estate market.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The GSO Real Property Manager is required to have: strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing; excellent analytical, administrative and problem-solving skills; high-standard of customer care skills; the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels within the Embassy; the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent judgment, organizational skills and flexibility; and good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
