Secretary Tillerson to Travel to London, Paris, Davos, and Warsaw   On January 21, Secretary Tillerson arrived in London, where he met with Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson and National Security Advisor Mark Sedwill to discuss our cooperation on issues of mutual concern around the world, including Iran, Syria, Libya, the DPRK and Ukraine.
Secretary Tillerson also met UK Prime Minister Theresa May at 10 Downing Street on January 22 to discuss the continuing depth and breadth of the special relationship. They agreed on the importance of the international community coming together to counter Iran’s destabilising regional activity, and the Prime Minister reiterated the UK’s commitment to the Iran nuclear deal.

Secretary Kerry visited London, U.K., on 31 October 2016 to meet with international counterparts for a discussion about the situation in Libya and ways to improve support for the Government of National Accord. While in London, he will also accept two awards: the Benjamin Franklin House Medal for Leadership and the Chatham House Prize.
The Chatham House Prize is given to a statesperson for significant contributions to the improvement of international relations. Secretary Kerry was named the 2016 recipient jointly with Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif. The Benjamin Franklin House Medal for Leadership is being given to Secretary Kerry for his lasting contributions to diplomacy, public service, and human rights. The Medal recognizes those individuals who follow in Benjamin Franklin’s footsteps by exemplifying great vision, cross-cultural understanding, effectiveness, and intellectual rigor. The Secretary will also meet with London Mayor Sadiq Khan and, together with the Mayor, will engage in a discussion with London youth on current issues, including climate change and countering violent extremism.

Security Council resolution that would set a deadline for Israel’s withdrawal from Palestinian territories.  The talks in London followed Kerry’s multi-stop effort Monday to assess the situation, which included talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Rome and the foreign ministers of France, Britain and Germany in Paris.
