The U.S. Embassy in London encourages U.S. citizens to routinely review their personal security plans. Large public events, such as demonstrations, can be accompanied by a higher risk for violence. Planned attacks and criminal activity often occur in crowded public locations such as markets, shopping malls, airports, clubs, restaurants, places of worship, transportation hubs, schools, and other areas frequented by tourists.

- Avoid crowds and demonstrations.
- Review your personal security plans.
- Be aware of your surroundings.
- Notify friends and family of your safety.
- Have travel documents up to date and easily accessible.
- Monitor local media for updates.
