Welsh Affairs Office
Welcome to the Welsh Affairs Office, the virtual presence of the U.S. Embassy in the United Kingdom. We appreciate your visit.
Ties between Wales and the United States have always been strong, whether judged by distinguished individuals (such as the 16 signers of the Declaration of Independence and 11 U.S. Presidents who were of Welsh descent) or bilateral ties (currently approximately 180 American companies employ over 30,000 people).
The Cardiff VPP and the designation of a Welsh Affairs officer occurred in November 2000. This created a central point of contact between the Embassy and the people of Wales, resulting in greater opportunities for business, cultural, education and government contacts.
The Welsh Affairs Office at the U.S. Embassy can be contacted via telephone at: (0)29-2002-6419.
These pages contain an outline of the Welsh economy and news from the Welsh Affairs Office. We hope you find them useful.
